Job Description

Jr. Acquisition Specialist supporting federal acquisition activities for Martek Global Services, a provider of real estate, healthcare, facilities, and professional services. Preparing acquisition documents and supporting contract awards, administration, modifications, and closeouts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice, recommendations, and document preparation support to multidisciplinary offices during the acquisition pre-award phase.
  • Support SOWs and SOOs, acquisition strategies, cost estimates, market research and surveys, quality assurance plans, RFPs/RFQs, source selection, and other pre-award documentation.
  • Support Contracting Officers and technical offices in formal and informal source selections and vendor screening.
  • Prepare contract award documents and provide contract award acquisition support.
  • Provide advice, recommendations, and document support during the post-award acquisition phase.
  • Support contract administration, contract modifications, delivery/task orders, invoicing, and closeouts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or High School degree with 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with GSA Schedule and GWACs.
  • Experience in supplies and service contracts is required.
  • Demonstrated skill obtaining and analyzing product and price data for contract negotiations.
  • Ability to conduct comparative analysis of vendor terms and/or price quotations with historical data.
  • Ability to develop recommendations on vendor selection, terms, or prices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a high volume and variety of people daily.
  • Specialized experience negotiating and awarding contracts, contract modifications, and/or subcontracts.
  • Specialized experience developing, preparing, and presenting terms and conditions in bids or proposals related to contract awards.
  • Experience evaluating methods and efficiencies of allocating costs through overhead and general administrative expense.
  • Experience leading and/or providing technical advice and assistance to professional employees overseeing contract administration, closeout, pricing, negotiations, and/or contract modifications.
  • Clerical or technical support work limited to typing, filing, maintaining or verifying records does not qualify as the required experience.
  • DAWIA Level II or FAC-C Level II certification, or equivalent within the last 4 years, is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in formal source selections and research and development is desired.
