Job Description
Land Technician supporting EQT Corporation’s oil and gas land transactions. Managing leases, title data, contracts, approvals, invoices, and stakeholder requests remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Land Business Development Sub-Department by managing Well Elections, Well Project Proposals, Contract Exhibit integration, and providing administrative and technical support
- Review contract obligations and recommend actions for new agreements
- Assist with closing and post-closing activities
- Coordinate internal approvals and process contracts
- Analyze data to confirm ownership status
- Review operated and non-operated projects and proposals and ensure contract compliance with proposals and election procedures
- Draft contract exhibits and conduct cursory due diligence on leases in trades and Joint Operating Agreements
- Assist opportunity creation by compiling available title for Land Business Development
- Maintain data integrity
- Analyze data to assist Land Business Development Agents in transactions
- Code departmental invoices and related expenses
- Coordinate with Land Business Development and Owner Relations teams to respond to third-party requests or disputes
- Provide technical and administrative support to Land Business Development
- Support accurate reporting and data management across land operations
Requirements:
- High School Degree/GED
- 0-4+ years of experience in land administration, land analysis, or oil & gas operations
- Familiarity with land systems, GIS/mapping tools, and regulatory databases
- Understanding of oil & gas leases, title, and HBP concepts
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management tools
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
- 5+ years experience in similar role/responsibilities preferred
- Membership in AAPL or similar organization preferred
- Proficiency in Quorum preferred
- Proficiency in Salesforce preferred
- Preference for candidates residing in the Appalachian region
- Remote work excludes California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee unless willing to relocate
