Job Description

Lead Technical Project Manager overseeing high-impact projects in External Manufacturing at Convatec. Responsible for project execution, stakeholder alignment, and governance in Slovakia.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of high‑impact projects across the External Manufacturing network, ensuring delivery of scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment, resolving conflicts, clarifying ownership, and ensuring seamless integration between internal teams and third‑party manufacturers.
  • Own cross‑functional project planning, facilitating workshops to build complete project packages (charter, scope, timelines, budgets, risks, RACI, comms plans).
  • Oversee execution of complex transitions, such as outsourcing/insourcing, supplier transfers, and new product introductions with external partners.
  • Run structured governance routines to surface risks, escalations, and decision needs.
  • Identify cost‑out opportunities across suppliers and lead initiatives in automation, productivity improvement, and value engineering.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to align project decisions with business strategy and operational realities.
  • Ensure risk management discipline, maintaining risk registers, mitigation plans, and scenario‑based recovery strategies.
  • Act as the primary liaison to senior leadership, providing crisp updates, data‑driven recommendations, and escalation pathways.
  • Support external manufacturing governance, including readiness checks, change management, and supplier‑driven project oversight.
  • Champion standard work and project management best practices, reinforcing documentation quality, reporting standards, and PM discipline across the network.

Requirements:

  • Minimum function/technical work-based experience and skills required to be able to perform the role without which they would not be successful or efficient
  • IT/Systems skills and experience
  • Soft skills and competencies as relevant
