Job Description

Remote lecturer developing and delivering compliance, governance and risk management education. Assessing students and maintaining academically rigorous, industry-relevant curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality, outcomes-based learning content aligned to module objectives
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive online learning sessions
  • Design and set assessments promoting applied learning, critical thinking and sound professional judgement
  • Assess student performance through formative, summative and practical assessments
  • Conduct internal moderation and contribute to quality assurance of teaching materials and assessments
  • Manage the development and review of learning materials within assigned modules
  • Support students with academic and content-related queries
  • Ensure assessment processes, marking and results meet required academic standards
  • Recruit, support and manage part-time academic staff where required, including lecturers, markers, examiners, moderators and authors
  • Collaborate with industry professionals to ensure learning remains relevant to contemporary compliance and risk management practice
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments, emerging risks and changes within the compliance and risk management profession
  • Collaborate closely with academic and administrative teams to support student engagement and success

Requirements:

  • A relevant master’s degree in Compliance, Risk Management, Governance, Business, Law or a closely related field
  • Relevant professional or industry experience within compliance, governance, regulatory risk or risk management
  • Strong understanding of contemporary compliance and risk management principles and practices
  • Familiarity with online learning technologies and platforms
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • A learner-first mindset with a commitment to academic integrity and student success
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Sound professional and ethical judgement
  • A collaborative and solutions-focused approach
  • Adaptability and digital confidence
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory and risk concepts into accessible, practical learning experiences
  • Teaching experience in higher education or professional learning environments would be advantageous
