Job Description

Legal Compliance Advisor supporting Cigna Healthcare’s Individual Dental regulatory compliance and governance. Coordinating implementation, documentation, risk oversight, audits, and cross-functional operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor federal and state regulatory requirements impacting the Individual Dental business
  • Assess new and evolving regulatory requirements and determine operational, product, process, and customer impacts
  • Coordinate regulatory implementation activities, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder engagement
  • Maintain regulatory assessments, implementation decisions, compliance documentation, inventories, process documentation, and evidence repositories
  • Monitor implementation progress and escalate risks, issues, or barriers
  • Identify and evaluate regulatory risks and support mitigation strategies and corrective action plans
  • Track compliance risks, issues, remediation activities, examination findings, recommendations, and corrective actions through resolution
  • Support governance and maintenance of Product Availability Grids and other regulatory reference materials
  • Validate alignment between regulatory requirements, filed products, operational processes, and business documentation
  • Support audits, regulatory examinations, compliance reviews, and regulatory inquiries
  • Provide regulatory compliance guidance and consultation to Individual Dental operations and business partners
  • Facilitate collaboration across Operations, Product, Compliance, Legal, Quality, Technology, and vendor organizations
  • Identify process, workflow, control, and documentation improvements
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend sustainable corrective actions
  • Support development and implementation of compliance processes and governance structures
  • Communicate regulatory risks, trends, and emerging concerns to leadership and business partners

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, healthcare operations, insurance operations, legal compliance, risk management, governance, audit, or related disciplines
  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements within healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries
  • Experience supporting regulatory implementation, compliance programs, audits, examinations, or governance activities
  • Ability to coordinate complex cross-functional initiatives and drive execution through matrixed organizations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess regulatory impacts and operational risks
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and managing compliance documentation and evidence
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Experience with regulatory tracking, risk management, governance, or compliance management systems preferred
  • Healthcare, dental, insurance, or regulated industry experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work from home with cable broadband or fiber optic internet service of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
