Job Description
Licensed Clinical Social Worker treating patients and supervising behavioral health fellows for Ho’ōla U-Telehealth. Delivering culturally responsive behavioral healthcare remotely in Hawaii.
Responsibilities:
- Treat and manage patients with emotional and/or health problems effectively and efficiently
- Conduct dual interviews with team members when needed
- Supervise Behavioral Health Fellows through weekly individual and group supervision regarding ongoing clinical cases
- Review fellows’ clinical documentation, make corrections as needed, and sign off on all cases
- Work with the Ho’ōla U-Telehealth Behavioral Health team under the direction of the Assistant Program Manager
- Contribute to integrated behavioral health care for Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander patients
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited college or university of recognized standing, with work in a Social and/or Health Sciences field
- Licensed and eligible for billing with insurance in the State of Hawaiʻi
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with other faculty, staff, and patients
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Knowledge regarding integrated behavioral health
- Demonstrated proficiency in motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy interventions to promote health behavior change
- Professional experience in the implementation of programs and/or research in the Health sciences field
- Experience working with Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander patients
- Basic understanding of Hawaiian history, culture, and language as it relates to student learning and engagement, intergenerational trauma and pathways of resilience
- Experience delivering culturally responsive assessments and treatment strategies
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish positive public relations and interact effectively with a diverse array of professionals and patients
- Ability to manage a large and varied caseload
- Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team
- Preferred: Five (5) or more years experience working in healthcare or community mental health setting
