Job Description
Loan Processor reviewing mortgage applications, underwriting files, and clearing borrower conditions. Supporting Sirva’s relocation-focused mortgage operations through loan approval and closing.
Responsibilities:
- Review loan applications
- Create condition checklists
- Review conditions with borrowers and clear conditions
- Work within the Loan Counselor/Closing team
- Provide customer contact as needed
- Underwrite loan files using mortgage industry and relocation policies knowledge
- Collect and review documentation
- Create loan decisions
- Make independent decisions based on mortgage lending guidelines
- Analyze data and appraisals for secondary-market acceptability
- Deliver loans in purchasable condition to the Secondary Department
- Submit loans through underwriting systems, underwriters, and/or investors for approval
- Interface with borrowers, Loan Counselors, Closers, agents, underwriters, and team members
- Communicate the approval process and critical information to borrowers
- Complete positional skill sets in the Training Program
Requirements:
- Mortgage Banking or related field with loan operations experience preferred
- Annual volume of 200 closed loans
- Maintaining scores of at least 75% or higher on all position metrics
- Basic knowledge of the mortgage process
- High School diploma required
- College degree preferred
- Occasionally work on FHA/VA loans
- Technical knowledge of the mortgage industry
- Knowledge of relocation policies and practices
- Ability to interpret mortgage lending guidelines
- Ability to analyze data and appraisals
- Ability to use underwriting systems
- Ability to communicate with borrowers, agents, underwriters, and team members
