Job Description
Maintenance Technician performing preventive and corrective maintenance for SSM Health facilities, equipment, and life-safety systems in Missouri. Handling plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance, and minor construction repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for facilities, equipment, and associated systems
- Repair equipment according to work orders or verbal instructions and document work according to established policies and procedures
- Identify and request parts and components needed to complete tasks
- Work with vendors, contractors, and factory representatives on equipment repair and replacement
- Assist contractors and personnel with water and fire system connections and shut-offs
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs, including changing light bulbs, replacing ballasts, and installing light fixtures
- Perform carpentry and minor construction projects, including drywall, walls, flooring, ceramic tile, cabinetry, countertops, shelving, and painting
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment through debris removal, heavy lifting or moving materials and equipment, floor sweeping, and material storage
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Two years' experience
- Full-time availability for Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm day shift
- Ability to work some overtime and after-hours shifts
- Ability to perform basic plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and minor construction
- Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems and equipment
- Ability to document work orders according to established policies and procedures
- Ability to identify and request required parts and components
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Constant standing and walking, with frequent reaching, gripping, keyboard use, and data entry
