Job Description

Media and communications manager leading public relations, digital campaigns, and Heart Rhythm TV content for cardiac arrhythmia society HRS. Managing advocacy communications, production, promotion, analytics, and optimization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead HRS public communications campaigns end-to-end, from message framing through distribution, promotion, analytics, and optimization
  • Write and distribute AP Style press releases, media advisories, statements, spokesperson talking points, and reactive messaging
  • Monitor news and identify cardiac rhythm stories, clinical developments, and public health moments for HRS response or amplification
  • Coordinate with HRS's external PR partner on major initiatives and high-stakes communications
  • Execute web, SEO/Google Ads Grant, email, organic and paid social, print, and onsite event content activities
  • Capture and promote HRStv and UpBeat TV content at HRS and non-HRS events
  • Monitor and report program and channel performance and identify optimization opportunities
  • Serve as staff lead for Heart Rhythm TV, including committee liaison work, agenda and meeting-material preparation, production, publishing, promotion, and sponsorship support
  • Maintain the HRStv content calendar and coordinate interview scheduling, vendors, video capture, editing, YouTube publishing, and promotion
  • Lead Marcomm communications for Heart Rhythm Advocates through social posts, emails, blog posts, and newsletters
  • Support the Heart Rhythm Advocates Communications Committee

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field preferred; or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Minimum 4 years in communications or public relations, digital content marketing, and social media management
  • Multi-channel campaign management required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and WordPress
  • Experience with video editing software such as iMovie, Adobe, or Canva
  • Experience with YouTube and Vimeo
  • Content marketing strategy, organic and paid social, UTM tracking, SEO fundamentals, and email marketing
  • Demonstrated experience writing AP Style press releases, media advisories, and public-facing communications
  • Experience drafting reactive statements and spokesperson talking points
  • Familiarity with PR Newswire or comparable wire distribution platforms
  • Hands-on experience across YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Social media management platform experience required; Sprout Social preferred
  • Enterprise ESP experience required; Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred
  • Canva proficiency preferred and ability to produce professional, on-brand assets independently
  • Experience with GA4, Google for Nonprofits, YouTube Studio, native social analytics, and Sprout Social
  • Experience with Asana or a comparable project management tool
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects and meet deadlines independently
  • Nonprofit, association, or healthcare/medical experience preferred but not required
  • No certificates, licenses, or registrations required
