Job Description
Manager of Software Engineering on the Patient Registration team at Phreesia, leading a distributed team to improve healthcare software solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver quality outcomes through innovative technology.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team.
- Hire, mentor, and support software engineers and QA professionals while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
- Drive successful software delivery.
- Champion responsible AI adoption.
- Build and maintain great software.
- Own product health.
- Promote engineering excellence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline required.
- 8+ years of experience building and supporting highly distributed software applications.
- 3+ years of people management experience leading software engineering teams.
- 3+ years of project management experience delivering successful software releases.
- Deep experience building and supporting highly distributed applications using Microsoft .NET (C#) or Java.
- Passionate about developing and growing engineering talent through coaching and mentorship.
- Experience designing, building, or integrating AI agents and LLM-powered workflows into production systems.
- Experience with SQL Server, MongoDB, NoSQL databases, cloud platforms, web services, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with QA automation tooling and leveraging AI-assisted tools to orchestrate testing and unit test generation.
- Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills.
- Experience managing contractors and external vendors.
