Job Description
Manager of Software Engineering at Labcorp leading a team of engineers and overseeing software development initiatives. Responsible for delivering developer experiences and aligning with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Build and deliver the team's vision and roadmap by combining deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership
- Communicate and promote the value of the platform to engineering teams and business stakeholders
- Understand stakeholder requirements and translate them into outstanding developer experiences
- Work across all subject areas with partners to move software initiatives forward
- Build a team environment where engineers are empowered to grow in their skills and responsibilities
- Lead the team from ambiguity to clarity by maintaining stability, transparency, and alignment with business objectives
- Analyze data from multiple sources to help the team make the right trade-offs
- Define, track, and report on key metrics related to your team's software systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 7 or more years of software development and management experience
- 2 or more years of experience managing a team of software engineers
- Proficiency in one or more technical stacks: AWS, Python, Django, Kotlin, Spring Boot, TypeScript, Kafka, RabbitMQ, React
- Strong full-stack application development experience
- Deep technical knowledge of web application architectures, APIs, and developer tools
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
