Job Description
Mobile fleet technician maintaining and repairing customer vehicles for Trane Technologies, a climate-solutions company. Traveling between customer sites and performing mechanical, electrical, diagnostic, and preventative maintenance work.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a fleet of vehicles for a contract customer
- Travel between customer sites within the dedicated area to perform routine maintenance and repairs
- Attend customer sites as required to carry out repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs, and modifications on customer vehicles and related ancillary equipment
- Diagnose faults and undertake diagnostic analysis
- Complete accurate and timely job cards, service sheets, timesheets, and other paperwork
- Provide complete end-of-shift handovers, including vehicle on- or off-road status
- Ensure warranty claims comply with warranty terms
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, methods, and operating practices
- Build and maintain employee and customer relations
- Support workshop operations in achieving financial and cultural objectives and targets
- Enforce company, industry, and legal health, safety, and environmental standards
- Report accidents, risks, and near misses
- Maintain workplace housekeeping and ensure appropriate PPE use
Requirements:
- Flexible approach and willingness to travel between customer sites within the dedicated area
- Ability to carry out routine maintenance and repairs on customer fleets
- Ability to perform comprehensive preventative maintenance and repairs
- Correct fault diagnosis and proper fitting of replacement parts
- Ability to complete job cards, service sheets, timesheets, and relevant paperwork accurately and efficiently
- Ability to undertake diagnostic analysis where appropriate
- Willingness to undertake training to become multi-skilled
- Thorough understanding of Company Safe Systems of Work
- Ability to comply with Company, Industry, and Legal Health, Safety & Environmental standards
- Appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to report accidents, risks, and near misses without delay
- Ability to maintain exceptional housekeeping standards
- Ability to wear allocated corporate uniform
