Job Description

Software Engineer II developing cloud-based healthcare technology applications at Modivcare. Collaborating with business, product, and IT teams for impactful software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates closely with business owners, product partners, and IT teams to design and deliver software solutions
  • Translates business requirements into clear, maintainable technical implementations
  • Designs, develops, and maintains .NET-based applications and APIs
  • Writes clean, testable code and performs unit testing to ensure quality and reliability
  • Partners with Quality Assurance to test features and resolve defects
  • Supports application deployments and works with infrastructure teams to ensure performance and stability
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for one or more applications supported by the team
  • Participates in sprint planning, design discussions, and architecture conversations
  • Helps modernize legacy systems into cloud-based, scalable solutions
  • Researches and evaluates tools, frameworks, and technologies to solve complex problems
  • Contributes to development standards, best practices, and code reviews
  • Assists in resolving production issues and supports the technical services team when needed
  • Ensures applications meet expectations for quality, performance, and responsiveness
  • May lead or contribute to additional projects as business needs evolve
  • Occasional business travel may be required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong experience with C#, .NET, and backend application development
  • Experience building and supporting APIs and data-driven applications
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS acceptable)
  • Experience with SQL databases; NoSQL experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with Git and modern branching strategies
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Clear communicator who collaborates well and can mentor junior engineers.
