Job Description
Software Engineer II developing cloud-based healthcare technology applications at Modivcare. Collaborating with business, product, and IT teams for impactful software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates closely with business owners, product partners, and IT teams to design and deliver software solutions
- Translates business requirements into clear, maintainable technical implementations
- Designs, develops, and maintains .NET-based applications and APIs
- Writes clean, testable code and performs unit testing to ensure quality and reliability
- Partners with Quality Assurance to test features and resolve defects
- Supports application deployments and works with infrastructure teams to ensure performance and stability
- Acts as a subject matter expert for one or more applications supported by the team
- Participates in sprint planning, design discussions, and architecture conversations
- Helps modernize legacy systems into cloud-based, scalable solutions
- Researches and evaluates tools, frameworks, and technologies to solve complex problems
- Contributes to development standards, best practices, and code reviews
- Assists in resolving production issues and supports the technical services team when needed
- Ensures applications meet expectations for quality, performance, and responsiveness
- May lead or contribute to additional projects as business needs evolve
- Occasional business travel may be required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science preferred) or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with C#, .NET, and backend application development
- Experience building and supporting APIs and data-driven applications
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS acceptable)
- Experience with SQL databases; NoSQL experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Git and modern branching strategies
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Clear communicator who collaborates well and can mentor junior engineers.
