Job Description
Full-Time Nurse Practitioner providing telehealth GI care at Cylinder, improving digestive health outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual patient assessments (history, symptoms, guided physical exam where appropriate)
- Diagnose and manage GI-related conditions in alignment with clinical protocols
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests within scope of practice
- Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and care team
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases to supervising physician as needed
- Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic health record
- Participate in case reviews, chart audits, and team meetings
Requirements:
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner License in the United States, with willingness to obtain additional state licenses
- Experience managing patients with chronic conditions or in a GI specialty (e.g., IBS, IBD)
- Ability to practice independently within scope, while collaborating effectively with supervising physician and care team
- Prior telehealth experience (desired)
- Multistate licensure (desired)
- Experience with motivational interviewing or patient-centered counseling approaches (desired)
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish strongly preferred, other languages a plus) (desired)
