Job Description
Principal Product Manager governing GE Aerospace’s Palantir Foundry data platform for defense systems. Leading platform reliability, security, AI capacity, data governance, and cross-team delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Own the D&S Palantir Foundry environment, including platform health, configuration, access, security markings, ontology development, roadmap, and shared demonstration environment
- Serve as program owner for 8+ platform functions and manage dependencies across technical teams without directly owning those teams
- Manage Palantir vendor licensing, product roadmap, support escalations, and new capability adoption
- Govern compute allocations, ontology volumes, storage, platform consumption, cost attribution, FinOps controls, and AIP capacity
- Design and maintain role-based access controls, fine-grained security roles and markings, scalable access provisioning, intangible export strategy, and customer B2B enrollment
- Coordinate delivery across Data Foundry, Platform Support, Insight Engines, Future Tech Labs, Digital Service Delivery, Fleet Data Hub Support, Data Flow Engine, and Cloud & Solutions Design
- Maintain the integrated platform roadmap and release plan; sequence patches and releases
- Integrate predictive models, machine learning, simulations, and emerging technologies into the platform and applications
- Translate D&S data strategy and technical standards into the DSCX platform roadmap
- Model, secure, and publish critical data products and semantic layers; define data quality, lineage, and governance tagging standards
- Prepare governed data foundations for TrueChoice Defense fleet management, supply optimization, and AI capabilities
- Own L1-L3 incident escalations, CMMC readiness, vulnerability remediation, data governance, and audit readiness
- Partner with CTO Architecture & Data on AWS infrastructure, Data Flow Engine, and architecture review
- Align 8+ technical teams around one platform plan, provide principal-level leadership and mentorship, and improve delivery using FLIGHT DECK and AI agents
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, OR Associate's degree with a minimum of 13 years of professional experience, OR High School Diploma with a minimum of 15 years of professional experience
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in data platform management, technical product or program management, or a related Distinct Area of Work (DAW)
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must meet U.S. Person status requirements for access to U.S. export-controlled information: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or granted asylee or refugee status
- Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry or a comparable enterprise data platform such as Databricks or Snowflake
- Working fluency in data modeling, semantic layers, and data governance
- Experience managing consumption-based platform cost and capacity (FinOps), ideally Palantir Foundry and AIP
- Experience designing RBAC and identity federation, such as SAML, OpenID Connect, or Microsoft Entra B2B, in a multi-tenant environment
- Experience with DevSecOps practices, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and secure platform operations in a regulated environment
- Experience delivering in an Agile environment using Scrum and Kanban alongside engineering and architecture teams
- Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
