Job Description
Product Manager growing NDWA’s AI assistant and membership platform for U.S. domestic workers. Owning product strategy, AI evaluation, user experience, and responsible deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day strategy, discovery, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of NDWA’s public-facing digital products
- Co-own the product roadmap for Ask Aya and the Membership Center with the Senior Director of Product
- Drive Ask Aya growth across audience acquisition, login, first meaningful conversation, and long-term retention
- Own the unauthenticated guest-user UX pipeline and ship guest access, landing page, and membership conversion flows
- Define and track the north star metric and supporting product metrics
- Own evaluation infrastructure and manage the L1–L4 evaluation framework
- Coordinate subject matter expert involvement in ground-truth calibration and rubric refinement
- Collaborate with Anthropic and evaluation partners on test scenarios, worker personas, and rubric systems
- Translate evaluation outputs into product actions including prompt edits, RAG updates, and guardrail improvements
- Manage the content pipeline between policy/organizing SMEs and the AI system
- Partner with the Senior Engineer on prompt architecture, retrieval system design, and tool-calling reliability
- Own the Membership Center product roadmap, including the internal admin backend
- Manage Aya–Membership Center integration
- Track, prioritize, and resolve bugs and issues with the engineering team
- Contribute to NDWA’s responsible-AI field-building and support funder-facing storytelling with product evidence
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of product management experience, preferably with a consumer-facing or mission-driven product
- Genuine curiosity about AI and informed opinions about how LLMs work
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
- Proficiency in agile/lean product methodologies, sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative experimentation
- Experience working closely with engineers; able to write clear specifications and engage with GitLab issues and prompts
- Strong analytical instincts and data-driven decision-making
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including translating between technical and non-technical audiences
- Alignment with NDWA’s mission and commitment to economic, racial, and gender justice
- Experience with AI/LLM product evaluation, prompt engineering, RAG systems, or similar strongly preferred
- Native or fluent Spanish, or experience building products for bilingual and Spanish users, strongly preferred
- Background in social impact, organizing, or working with low-income communities strongly preferred
- Experience in a lean, resource-constrained environment with smart tradeoffs strongly preferred
- Must work remotely from the United States in the Eastern or Central time zone
