Job Description
Product Owner at Mettle shaping financial crime and customer due diligence products. Leading product strategy, discovery, delivery, governance, and stakeholder alignment for regulated financial services features.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the vision and delivery of high-impact features within customer due diligence and financial crime, from initial design to launch
- Create the vision for the product area and act as the go-to person for its roadmap
- Collaborate with design and engineering to prototype and validate feasible solutions that solve customer friction
- Take full ownership of the product area's strategy to solve customer and business problems
- Translate complex business and technical needs into actionable user stories
- Use qualitative data and customer insights to prioritise the backlog
- Collaborate with stakeholders, balance business priorities, and communicate the product area roadmap
- Uphold product governance with a focus on risk management and regulatory compliance
- Ensure features are viable, usable, and feasible throughout the product lifecycle
Requirements:
- Experience building and shipping products, preferably in banking or financial services
- Practical experience navigating financial crime and customer due diligence requirements within a regulated environment
- Ability to identify operational and customer needs and solve complex problems
- Ability to conduct customer research, map customer journeys, and identify opportunities
- Proven experience in digital product discovery, delivery, and operations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
- Technical background with fundamental understanding of product, software development, and UX
- Understanding of technologies across mobile, web, and APIs
- Enthusiasm for exploring new challenges and working across a broad scope
