Job Description

Program Consultant focusing on waste diversion by providing technical assistance and managing relationships with clients. Involved in written communication, data entry, and in-person events.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide waste management technical assistance and program information to customers and prospects over the phone and email
  • Produce written content such as emails, newsletters, reports, web content, and/or presentations
  • Assist with virtual and in-person events, such as planning logistics, hosting virtual meetings, recruiting speakers, collecting registrations, and networking
  • Perform research on alternative outlets for waste materials
  • Enter data into appropriate platforms to track customer interactions and results
  • Generate regular client invoices and reports, compiling metrics and progress towards program deliverables
  • Act as liaison with vendors, partners, customers, and other stakeholders
  • Some travel throughout Central/Eastern MA and RI to deliver in-person presentations

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of customer service experience and written communications experience, or 3-4 years of customer service (phone, email) and written deliverable (writing newsletters, blogs, program outcome reporting) experience
  • 1 year of waste-related field experience is preferred
  • Excellent writing skills and can draft clear, well-organized, engaging written material for tip sheets, case studies, blog posts, and other web content
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to establish rapport with customers, clients, vendors, and coworkers on the phone, over email, in meetings, and at presentations and events
  • Excel at using Microsoft Office
  • Experience using spreadsheets and other digital tools to track and report on data
  • Experience in CRM platforms helpful, Salesforce preferred
  • Accuracy and attention to detail required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work with multiple programs and deliverables in a collaborative environment
  • High-speed internet access and a working location free from distractions and interference during business hours
  • Ability to speak Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian, or Chinese is helpful but not required.
