Job Description
Project Development Associate supporting utility-scale solar and energy storage project development. Working with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Support project development team in advancing renewable energy projects through various stages of development.
- Maintain project schedules, milestone trackers, and development databases.
- Coordinate internal meetings and document action items and follow-up tasks.
- Assist in preparing project reports and status updates.
- Coordinate consultant engagements and track project deliverables.
- Assist with environmental, title, survey, engineering, and permitting diligence activities.
- Organize and maintain project documentation and data rooms.
- Conduct research related to permitting, regulatory requirements, and market conditions.
- Assist with landowner communications and project correspondence.
- Support interactions with utilities, permitting agencies, consultants, and community stakeholders.
- Help coordinate public meetings, stakeholder outreach efforts, and project presentations.
- Work closely with Origination, Real Estate, Interconnection, Finance, and Legal teams.
- Assist with acquisition and transaction diligence activities.
- Support the preparation of internal and external project materials.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Studies, Geography, Engineering, Planning, Political Science, or related field.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in renewable energy, real estate, project management, consulting, or related fields.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Smartsheets.
- Experience in renewable energy development or infrastructure projects (preferred).
- Familiarity with project management software (preferred).
- Understanding of solar, battery storage, or electric utility industries (preferred).
