Job Description

Project Development Associate supporting utility-scale solar and energy storage project development. Working with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support project development team in advancing renewable energy projects through various stages of development.
  • Maintain project schedules, milestone trackers, and development databases.
  • Coordinate internal meetings and document action items and follow-up tasks.
  • Assist in preparing project reports and status updates.
  • Coordinate consultant engagements and track project deliverables.
  • Assist with environmental, title, survey, engineering, and permitting diligence activities.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation and data rooms.
  • Conduct research related to permitting, regulatory requirements, and market conditions.
  • Assist with landowner communications and project correspondence.
  • Support interactions with utilities, permitting agencies, consultants, and community stakeholders.
  • Help coordinate public meetings, stakeholder outreach efforts, and project presentations.
  • Work closely with Origination, Real Estate, Interconnection, Finance, and Legal teams.
  • Assist with acquisition and transaction diligence activities.
  • Support the preparation of internal and external project materials.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Studies, Geography, Engineering, Planning, Political Science, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of professional experience in renewable energy, real estate, project management, consulting, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Smartsheets.
  • Experience in renewable energy development or infrastructure projects (preferred).
  • Familiarity with project management software (preferred).
  • Understanding of solar, battery storage, or electric utility industries (preferred).
