Job Description

Project Manager overseeing warehouse set-up and execution for HD Supply in the U.S. Managing project teams, schedules, and stakeholder communications effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees one or more small- or intermediate-sized projects.
  • Assembles project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules, and determines and acquires needed resources.
  • Reviews project business cases to ensure costs and internal labor are accurately identified.
  • Ensures approval of business cases and presents cases to governing body.
  • Defines integration needs with other projects, systems, and business processes.
  • Provides regular status information to all project stakeholders.
  • Interfaces with upper management on project statuses and related issues.
  • Reviews plans and schedules of other participating functions for compliance with the master schedule.
  • Resolves scheduling and inter-functional conflicts.
  • Participates in or leads daily, weekly, or monthly meetings.
  • Reviews, tracks, and reports on project statuses and identifies deviations or adverse trends.
  • Coordinates project teams from inception through completion.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting warehouse set-up, layout, or redesign efforts, with a strong understanding of inventory control processes
  • Proven ability to manage projects from planning through execution, keeping timelines, milestones, and deliverables on track
  • Willingness and ability to travel 40–50% to support site launches and onsite project execution
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on environment, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, warehouse teams, and leadership
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on accuracy in inventory, reporting, and execution
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to think creatively, troubleshoot challenges, and drive process improvements
  • Experience identifying inefficiencies and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse or inventory operations
  • Self-starter who can adapt quickly, take ownership, and drive results with minimal oversight
  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
