Job Description
Property Claims Supervisor responsible for leading claims professionals in property claims at Davies North America. Ensure compliance with standards and provide operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team of property claims adjusters across multiple levels of claim complexity.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to support adjuster development and performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations, training sessions, and ongoing feedback discussions.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and workload distribution across the claims team.
- Monitor claims handling activities to ensure compliance with company guidelines and client expectations.
- Review high-exposure or complex property claims and provide guidance on claim strategy and resolution.
- Approve claim settlements within assigned authority limits.
- Ensure appropriate reserve setting, claim documentation, and investigation practices.
- Monitor operational performance metrics including claim cycle time, quality assurance results, and productivity measures.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices across the claims team.
- Support leadership with reporting and performance insights related to property claims operations.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding claim performance, service delivery, and operational matters.
- Participate in client meetings and provide updates on claim trends, outcomes, and performance metrics.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, engineers, and other specialists involved in property claim investigations and repairs.
- Ensure claims are handled in compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and client service agreements.
- Support internal audits, quality assurance reviews, and operational compliance initiatives.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of property claims handling experience
- Adjuster licensing as required by jurisdiction
- Strong knowledge of property claims investigation, evaluation, and settlement practices
- Experience handling complex or high-value property claims preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Experience with Xactimate preferred
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Experience handling commercial or large-loss property claims preferred
- Familiarity with property estimating tools and vendor repair networks preferred
- Industry designations such as AIC, CPCU, or equivalent preferred
