Job Description
Provider Support Assistant supporting dermatology providers and patients remotely in Mississippi. Processing results, records requests, prescription refills, and medication prior authorizations.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the liaison between providers and patients to support patients’ ongoing care
- Provide pathology and laboratory results
- Complete medical records requests
- Process prescription refill requests
- Process medication prior authorization requests
- Perform other duties as assigned and as requirements evolve
- Enhance healthcare professionals’ efficiency through comprehensive administrative and patient support services using virtual technologies
- Streamline healthcare workflows and improve patient experiences by delivering timely and accurate information, scheduling, and assistance
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a virtual environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Healthcare-specific training preferred but not required
- Friendly, polite, and professional demeanor
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Empathy and a caring attitude toward patients
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with US HIPAA laws and other relevant regulations
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Quiet, private, dedicated workspace within the home
- Must pass an internet speed test
- Wired internet connection; no Wi-Fi
- Must complete two weeks of training; training schedule may differ from the hired schedule
