Job Description
QA Engineer automating and validating clinical-grade cardiac monitoring software at RhythmScience. Building Playwright coverage, testing web/mobile apps, and improving release quality.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain automated end-to-end and regression tests using Playwright and keep them running reliably in CI/CD
- Run functional, regression, and integration testing across web and mobile apps
- Partner with product and engineering to develop test plans for new features
- Help define acceptance criteria before implementation
- Help define release readiness criteria and quality gates
- Triage, reproduce, and clearly document defects
- Track quality signals including escaped defects, coverage, and flake rate
- Surface quality signals to the team
- Improve testing tooling and processes as the company scales
Requirements:
- 3+ years in software QA with hands-on automation experience using Playwright or equivalent
- Comfortable writing test plans from product requirements and owning them through release
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Pragmatic and self-directed in a fast-moving startup environment
- US-based with solid West Coast (PT) overlap for day-to-day work with product and engineering
- Strong written communication for clear, reproducible bug reports and test documentation
- Experience testing HIPAA-compliant systems or understanding of PHI data-handling requirements preferred
- API testing experience or familiarity with EHR integrations (HL7/FHIR) preferred
- Background in healthcare SaaS, RPM, or clinical data platforms preferred
