Job Description
Reporting Analyst building Tableau dashboards and data frameworks for Appello’s careline service. Enabling data-driven decisions, governance, automation, and stakeholder insight across the UK business.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain impactful Tableau dashboards and reports delivering actionable insights
- Analyse performance data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities
- Turn complex datasets into clear, compelling stories for senior stakeholders
- Govern Tableau content by managing certified data sources, design standards, and permissions
- Champion best practices in data visualisation and storytelling using Tableau and Power BI
- Design and maintain semantic models and curated datasets
- Promote data governance standards and ensure compliance within the data team
- Identify and resolve data quality issues
- Recommend and implement improvements to analytical workflows and processes
- Automate recurring reports
- Monitor emerging trends in analytics, BI platforms, and data technologies
- Support business users in adopting Tableau through coaching and workshops
- Partner with cross-functional teams to meet data needs and improve data literacy
- Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
- Act as a trusted advisor enabling evidence-based decision-making
- Occasionally travel to offices in New Milton and Norwich
Requirements:
- 3+ years in a data analyst or similar analytical role
- Proven ability to build dashboards, visualisations, and reports using Tableau
- Skilled at interpreting complex datasets and presenting insights to non-technical audiences
- Experience working with relational databases and writing advanced SQL queries
- Exposure to cloud-based data environments such as Azure Synapse, Data Lake, AWS, or BigQuery
- Experience automating reporting or analytics workflows using Power Automate, Python, etc.
- Familiarity with embedded analytics is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Tableau Certified Data Analyst required
- Knowledge of Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 or DP-900 is a bonus
- Advanced SQL and strong understanding of data modelling concepts
- Expertise in data visualisation and storytelling for business audiences
- Solid grasp of data quality, governance, and reporting best practices
- Knowledge of Python, R, or DAX; ETL processes; Dynamics 365; Git or Azure DevOps is a bonus
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with ownership of outcomes
- Excellent communication skills to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with curiosity and a passion for leveraging data to drive change
- Proactive in identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency
- Remote work must be within the UK
- Available to work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00
