Job Description
Resource Planner optimising mobile CT and MRI staffing for medneo UK’s diagnostic imaging services. Building rotas, forecasting capacity, and coordinating multi-site clinical workforce logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain accurate schedules for CT, MRI, and other imaging staff across multiple sites, ensuring shift coverage while considering skill mix and seniority
- Allocate staff according to specialist competencies, including CT Cardiac, MR Cardiac, and training needs; maintain staff skill profiles
- Analyse referral volumes and modality capacity to forecast staffing requirements, adjust plans for demand peaks, and minimise patient waiting times
- Incorporate travel times and site accessibility into schedules; optimise deployment to reduce unnecessary travel and downtime
- Liaise with the Service Delivery co-ordinator to incorporate maintenance into scheduling
- Ensure rotas comply with working time regulations, contractual obligations, and health and safety standards
- Support timesheet management in collaboration with the finance team
- Liaise with modality leads, clinical managers, and operational teams to resolve conflicts and confirm coverage
- Provide timely updates on staffing changes
- Monitor resource utilisation and identify gaps or inefficiencies
- Report on KPIs including rota accuracy, staff utilisation, and turnaround times
- Recommend process improvements for scheduling and resource allocation
- Support implementation of new workforce planning tools or systems
- Maintain accurate records of staff availability, leave, and training schedules
- Use workforce management software and Excel for planning and reporting
- Adhere to ISO 9001:2015 and support the company’s Quality Management System
Requirements:
- Experience in a multi-site or mobile imaging service environment
- Rota planning experience
- Knowledge of NHS compliance standards
- Proficiency in Excel and workforce management tools
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Negotiation abilities and persuasive communication
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication
- Task-focused with the ability to prioritise appropriately
- Responsibility to adhere to ISO 9001:2015 and support the Quality Management System
