Job Description
Retention Strategist developing email/SMS strategies for eCommerce growth agency. Focused on improving customer LTV, repeat demand, and overall retention in a fully remote role.
Responsibilities:
- Build, optimize, and scale email/SMS flows and campaigns
- Design post-purchase and LTV journeys that drive true repeat demand
- Manage segmentation, behavioral triggers, predictive audiences
- Maintain balanced flow vs campaign revenue share
- Maintain list health & deliverability (non-negotiable expectation)
- Analyze performance across Klaviyo, Shopify, and Hiro Analytics
- Identify opportunities linked to LTV growth, repeat rate, and time-to-second-order
- Present account insights clearly — what happened and why it matters
- Provide inputs that help Growth Strategists scale profitably
- Run meaningful, hypothesis-driven tests
- Document findings into team playbooks and best practices
- Build trust and rapport with clear, strategic communication
- Lead retention strategy meetings
- Provide forward planning and strategic clarity
- Support cross-channel alignment for unified growth outcomes
- Share insights, elevate peers, and contribute to teamwide improvement
- Stay ahead of platform changes and evolving lifecycle benchmarks
Requirements:
- 2+ years hands-on eCommerce Email/SMS experience
- 2+ years inside Klaviyo (flows, segmentation, deliverability, testing)
- Proven results increasing LTV, repeat rate, or flow revenue contribution
- Experience managing lists of 50k–100k+
- Ability to analyze cohorts, retention curves, and order behavior
- Strong ability to brief copy/design clearly
- Superior communication — written & verbal
- Strong prioritization and ability to manage multiple accounts
- Calm, mature, coachable, accountable
