Job Description

Retention Strategist developing email/SMS strategies for eCommerce growth agency. Focused on improving customer LTV, repeat demand, and overall retention in a fully remote role.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, optimize, and scale email/SMS flows and campaigns
  • Design post-purchase and LTV journeys that drive true repeat demand
  • Manage segmentation, behavioral triggers, predictive audiences
  • Maintain balanced flow vs campaign revenue share
  • Maintain list health & deliverability (non-negotiable expectation)
  • Analyze performance across Klaviyo, Shopify, and Hiro Analytics
  • Identify opportunities linked to LTV growth, repeat rate, and time-to-second-order
  • Present account insights clearly — what happened and why it matters
  • Provide inputs that help Growth Strategists scale profitably
  • Run meaningful, hypothesis-driven tests
  • Document findings into team playbooks and best practices
  • Build trust and rapport with clear, strategic communication
  • Lead retention strategy meetings
  • Provide forward planning and strategic clarity
  • Support cross-channel alignment for unified growth outcomes
  • Share insights, elevate peers, and contribute to teamwide improvement
  • Stay ahead of platform changes and evolving lifecycle benchmarks

Requirements:

  • 2+ years hands-on eCommerce Email/SMS experience
  • 2+ years inside Klaviyo (flows, segmentation, deliverability, testing)
  • Proven results increasing LTV, repeat rate, or flow revenue contribution
  • Experience managing lists of 50k–100k+
  • Ability to analyze cohorts, retention curves, and order behavior
  • Strong ability to brief copy/design clearly
  • Superior communication — written & verbal
  • Strong prioritization and ability to manage multiple accounts
  • Calm, mature, coachable, accountable
