Job Description

Retirement Plan Specialist advising 401(k) participants on retirement and insurance products for Transamerica, a financial services company. Handling warm leads, recommendations, and customer education remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn all products in the assigned specialty area, including competitive offerings and regulations
  • Provide customers with education, guidance, and transparency around retirement product solutions
  • Handle routine customer inquiries
  • Explain product options and ensure customer understanding
  • Make product recommendations
  • Identify multi-product needs and connect customers with other product specialists
  • Work with relationship managers and fulfillment analysts to initiate product requests
  • Learn products and receive instruction, guidance, and direction from senior analysts
  • Build relationships with customers and assist with their financial challenges
  • Work with ongoing warm leads rather than prospecting

Requirements:

  • FINRA Series 6, 63, and 65; or FINRA Series 7 and 66, held at time of hire
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business field or equivalent professional experience
  • Life and Health licenses required within 60 days of hire
  • One year of experience in the financial services industry
  • Basic knowledge of financial products related to the assigned specialty area
  • Customer service, interpersonal, and listening skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency using MS Office
  • Preferred: CFP and/or CRPC
  • Preferred: Knowledge of CRM (Salesforce.com) and digital financial advice platforms
  • Schedule may vary to fulfill service levels during hours of operation
