Job Description

Revenue cycle systems analyst reviewing healthcare billing systems for Overlake medical center. Resolving application problems, maintaining system files, reporting findings, and training staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed analytical and statistical review of the revenue cycle
  • Identify and resolve billing and related problems in system applications
  • Act as an internal liaison for reviewing, researching, analyzing, and resolving problems
  • Ensure effective administration of system-wide applications for integrated network operations
  • Assist in developing procedures and standards
  • Update and maintain dictionary tables and system master files
  • Create test scenarios
  • Prepare reports and documentation
  • Oversee project status
  • Communicate findings
  • Train staff as necessary

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Five (5) years of healthcare revenue cycle experience with background in research and analysis of billing problems required
  • Two (2) years post high school education preferred
  • Experience in developing, implementing, operating, maintaining or using information systems in hospital and/or clinic settings preferred
  • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and HCPC coding preferred
  • Knowledge of DRG’s and APC’s preferred
  • Skill in organizing, prioritizing, and reprioritizing workloads
  • Ability to contribute to staff development through teaching, explanation, and example
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to willingly accept responsibility
  • Ability to set priorities and use good judgment
  • Washington State residency required
