Job Description
Parts Forecast Analyst forecasting replacement-parts demand for Liebherr Mining Equipment. Optimizing inventory, pricing, logistics, and procurement across its global mining supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Customer Service activities related to the supply and demand of replacement parts and components within the global supply chain
- Analyze historical consumption data to identify trends and develop forecasts for inventory planning and procurement
- Use forecasting tools and techniques to project future material and part requirements
- Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust models based on demand signals, seasonality, and business needs
- Conduct usage analysis, economic studies, and market feedback to improve global market pricing and inventory strategies
- Collaborate with engineering, production planning, manufacturing, Product Support, Marketing, Sales, and Purchasing
- Evaluate and plan inventory levels based on sales forecasts, historical usage, and current stock, including new stock and the Service Exchange Unit program
- Recommend inventory optimization strategies, including direct shipments, return goods management, and bulk purchase orders
- Coordinate logistics for return goods and inter-company transfers
- Compile and optimize Recommended/Initial Parts Lists for internal projects and affiliate operations
- Prepare reports and feasibility analyses for short- and long-term strategic initiatives
- Perform potential analysis reporting versus forecast to support data-driven decision-making
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 to 4 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Travel to customer or supplier sites nationally and internationally up to 10% of the time
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
