Job Description
Risk Associate managing risks surrounding platforms, participants, and transactions at zerohash. Ensure strong risk controls are in place and operating effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Work tightly with cross-functional teams to analyze risks, to evaluate internal controls, support internal audit activities, and to understand current business operations and future developments
- Own remediation plans and follow through from discovery to completion
- Support the Internal Audit function by performing control assessments, spot checks, and remediation activities
- Monitor for and assess risks presented by patterns and evolving risk trends
- Evaluate and document internal controls and required mitigations
- Understand and process information received by risk and audit teams
- Participate in reviews of data and reports provided to external parties and stakeholders
- Assist in the identification of risks to be managed
- Conduct audits and reviews of company activities
- Conduct risk assessments of internal and external vendors, jurisdictions, regulations, competitors, services, and a variety of other topics
- Develop and advise on risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with various departments as needed
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in risk, audit, or a closely related field
- Ability to conceptualize abstract concepts and communicate effectively to a diverse audience
- Demonstrated ability to see through the data to identify trends and patterns
- Experience in one or more of the following: Financial risk management, Cryptocurrency settlement, custody, and markets, Data security and privacy, Fintech Product go to market process
- Dependable and diligent, with solid follow-through
- Self-directed, driven, with a burning desire to dig deeper and learn more
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- English language proficiency
- Willingness to work North American hours
