Job Description
Scientific Communications Intern for biotechnology startup developing oncology diagnostics. Supporting scientific communications, ensuring accuracy, and collaborating cross-functionally.
Responsibilities:
- Support cross-functional publication teams to drive execution of deliverables.
- Work closely with R&D to ensure scientific and data analysis plans meet the established strategic objectives.
- Develop project plans and oversee tactical execution of publication.
- Work with authors and internal stakeholders to facilitate the development of high-quality abstracts, posters, presentations, and manuscripts.
- Encourage best practices and procedures for drafting scientific publications.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to review content for scientific accuracy.
- Monitor published data on a regular basis to maintain competitive landscape assessment.
Requirements:
- Advanced scientific degree (PhD or MS) or significant medical communications experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare or research setting with responsibility for writing medical communications, publications, or medical content development.
- Knowledge of clinical/scientific publication structure, content, and quality.
- Knowledge of scientific publication regulations and best practices.
- Experience and practical knowledge required for drafting medical/scientific manuscripts reporting results from scientific research and/or clinical trials.
- Strong interest in reading, reviewing, and evaluating scientific literature related to the field of immuno-oncology.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining scientific and regulatory accuracy in all communications.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
