Job Description
Senior lighting designer creating AGI32 lighting designs and client submissions for an engineering sales team. Managing technical support, reviews, standards compliance, and junior designers.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Lighting Design Manager
- Support the sales side of the business through lighting design and technical support to the sales team
- Work as a dotted-line member of a customer account team alongside a customer account executive
- Manage and deliver lighting design and technical support for client opportunities and projects
- Manage new opportunity designs, technical requirements, deadlines, milestones, and regulatory and contractual compliance
- Review client briefs and document them accurately in internal systems
- Provide design concepts and submissions for new clients and opportunities
- Execute lighting designs according to Design & Construct specifications, company protocols, and client deadlines
- Manage and collaborate with junior designers and contractor teams
- Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to team members
- Assist in selecting appropriate lighting fixtures
- Provide guidance and support throughout the design process
- Conduct thorough reviews and approve completed designs
- Facilitate review and processing of client-initiated design changes
- Oversee peer reviews and promptly address questions or issues
- Assist in designing, developing, and testing new and existing products
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to internal team members and clients on design inquiries, quotes, and technical matters
Requirements:
- Advanced proficiency in Agi32 required
- Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD expected
- Familiarity with Revit is a bonus
- Advanced knowledge of Office 365 necessary
- Intermediate proficiency in Salesforce/CRM preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of AS1680.0 to AS1680.5
- Comprehensive understanding of AS1158.3.1
- Comprehensive understanding of AS4282
- Comprehensive understanding of Green Star V1 and V1.3
- Willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members
- Ability to accomplish objectives effectively within the given timeframe
- Ability to carry out administrative duties within portfolio efficiently and timely
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
