Job Description
Senior analyst helping CrowdStrike customers detect, investigate, and remediate security incidents. Configuring Falcon cybersecurity modules, developing automations, and providing incident-response consulting.
Responsibilities:
- Exercise incident handling and remediation processes across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms
- Perform malware analysis across varied customer environments and emerging threats
- Develop and improve incident detection processes and execute countermeasures
- Produce written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings for customers
- Develop and implement security content and automations across CrowdStrike modules including EDR/SIEM
- Demonstrate industry thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and public speaking events
- Provide continuous feedback and solutions for operational collateral and capabilities
- Provide consulting support for onboarding and configuring other CrowdStrike Falcon security modules
- Detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents for customers
- Drive optimal CrowdStrike Falcon platform configurations and eliminate risk through detection triage and remediation
Requirements:
- Experience in multiple of the following areas: SOC, malware analysis, incident response, computer forensic analysis, systems administration, network forensic analysis, malware analysis, incident remediation, network operations and architecture/engineering, and programming/scripting
- Experience conducting or managing incident response for organizations and investigating targeted threats such as Advanced Persistent Threats, Organized Crime, and Hacktivists
- Knowledge of system internals, network protocols, network analysis tools, and associated network logs
- Ability to perform static and dynamic malware analysis
- Strong understanding of targeted attacks and ability to create customized tactical and strategic remediation plans
- Strong understanding of secure network architecture and background in network operations
- Experience coding in Python, PowerShell, or .NET, or other languages such as C, C#, VB, Perl, or Ruby on Rails, or desire to learn
- Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes
- Capable of completing technical tasks without supervision
- Desire to grow and expand technical and soft skills
- Strong project management skills
- Contributing thought leader within the incident response industry
- Ability to foster a positive work environment and attitude
- Desire and ability to effectively communicate with customers during ongoing security incidents
- BA or BS in Computer Science or a related field is described as beneficial, not required
- Industry-related DFIR certifications are described as a plus, not required
