Job Description
Senior AppSec Engineer enhancing security of Material Security's applications. Leading security strategy, collaborating closely with engineering, and conducting audits and reviews.
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end security of the Material application.
- Secure the dependency supply chain while collaborating with engineering.
- Develop internal automation to detect and block abuse patterns.
- Conduct deep-dive security audits and code reviews.
- Partner with infrastructure team to enhance Kubernetes deployments.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in application security.
- Proficiency in multiple coding languages including Javascript/Typescript.
- Experience securing cloud environments (GCP preferred) and strong Kubernetes security understanding.
- Deep understanding of identity and access management (SAML, OAuth, IAM).
- Ability to balance security risks with business velocity.
- Willingness to engage in areas adjacent to traditional AppSec.
