Job Description
Full Stack Application Engineer designing and building client-facing analytics applications for Cigna. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful insights and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop modern, scalable web applications that deliver intuitive analytics experiences and support client-facing use cases.
- Build reusable front-end components and contribute to full-stack solutions that integrate seamlessly with governed data platforms.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions by partnering across Product, Data, and Engineering teams.
- Integrate applications with curated data products using Databricks and AWS environments to ensure reliable and secure data delivery.
- Contribute to backend services and APIs that enable data access, interactivity, and system integration.
- Apply strong engineering practices including testing, version control, and code reviews to ensure quality and performance.
- Support automation across development and data workflows, including CI/CD and deployment processes.
- Monitor and optimize application performance and user experience using usage data and feedback.
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and reusable patterns that improve consistency and scalability.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully to enhance efficiency and solution quality.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience building data-driven applications or analytics solutions.
- Hands-on experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a focus on usability and clean design.
- Working knowledge of Databricks (SQL, workflows) and experience integrating data into applications within AWS environments such as S3.
- Experience with GitHub or similar version control tools in collaborative development environments.
- Understanding of APIs and data interfaces for consuming and delivering data.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality output.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
- Experience working with large or complex datasets, including healthcare or claims data (preferred).
