Job Description
Senior Audit Associate conducting construction-industry audits for US CPA firm partners. Preparing audit workpapers, analyzing financial statements, and supporting managers on complex client projects.
Responsibilities:
- Serve various clients and prepare supporting work through all phases of the audit process according to standard operating procedures
- Assist managers with technical support on complex projects as required
- Research and analyze financial statement issues using electronic sources and software
- Contribute to audit workflows by identifying, analyzing, and articulating problems and opportunities and proposing solutions to client issues
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with clients
- Complete moderately complex tasks through to completion
- Use relevant computer software applications efficiently
- Review and work within budgets and billing constraints
- Participate in professional and business organizations as requested
- Participate in client development and marketing efforts as needed
- Adhere to the firm's quality control standards
- Maintain high standards of independence and integrity
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA preferred but not required
- Construction industry experience required
- Exposure to working with US-based firms
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience using accounting and bookkeeping tools and software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Data-driven and results-oriented
