Job Description
Senior Business Analyst generating insights on market performance metrics for T-Mobile's growing fiber business. Collaborating with leaders to enhance strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Market Performance Reporting
- Build and maintain recurring performance reports covering penetration, add rate, churn rate, and preorder cancel rate across all active markets
- Track performance vs. targets and clearly communicate where we're winning, where we're not, and what's driving the gap
- Prepare clean, executive-ready readouts that translate complex data into a simple narrative leaders can act on
- Maintain and evolve dashboards that give stakeholders real-time visibility into market health
- Analysis and Insight Generation
- Go beyond the numbers — layer in demographic, socioeconomic, and competitive data to explain the why behind performance trends
- Identify underperforming markets early and provide context on root causes (competitive pressure, build maturity, pricing, demographics, etc.)
- Run ad hoc analysis as business questions emerge, including A/B testing, market segmentation, and opportunity sizing
- Collaborate with business partners to validate findings and pressure-test assumptions before they reach leadership
- Tools and Data Infrastructure
- Extract, transform, and analyze data from internal sources using SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, and Excel
- Build performance models and scenario analysis using Excel — pivot tables, trend modeling, and large dataset manipulation
- Develop and standardize reporting templates that the team can rely on and replicate
- Engage early on new initiatives to define data and reporting requirements before systems are built
- Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience; acceptable areas of study include Business, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics or similar degree
