Job Description

Senior Customer Success Manager guiding enterprise onboarding, adoption, renewals, and value realization for Chainguard’s secure open-source software. Germany-based remote role partnering across technical, product, engineering, and sales teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the post-sales primary point of contact for customers.
  • Lead customer engagements across onboarding, implementation, and adoption.
  • Partner with customers, pre-sales, and post-sales teams on success planning, requirements, goals, challenges, and business value realization.
  • Provide thought leadership on change management for large, scaled rollouts.
  • Act as the voice of the customer and advocate for customer needs internally.
  • Collaborate with Technical Support and Customer Engineering to resolve customer issues.
  • Develop hands-on technical knowledge of Chainguard and help customers optimize product usage.
  • Collaborate with customers and the Edu team on product features, best practices, and security principles.
  • Build relationships with customer stakeholders from technicians to CISOs.
  • Work with sales teams to renew and expand customers while minimizing churn risks.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise, customer-facing roles collaborating with technical and business teams.
  • Experience in Customer Success, Professional Services, Technical Account Management, or combinations involving Sales, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Support.
  • Domain knowledge in one or more of supply chain security, DevSecOps, AppSec, security infrastructure, containers, regulatory compliance requirements, vulnerability management, or software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to take full ownership of a customer portfolio and operate with a high level of autonomy.
  • Ability to make key decisions to drive customer outcomes, manage escalations and conflicts, and advocate to internal teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to build new processes or practices.
  • Commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
  • Strong priority management skills and high emotional intelligence.
  • Strongly preferred: previous early-stage startup experience.
  • Strongly preferred: passion for technology and cybersecurity.
  • Strongly preferred: hands-on technical experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, containers, Linux, supply chain security, DevSecOps, AppSec, security infrastructure, regulatory compliance requirements, vulnerability management, or software development lifecycle.
