Job Description
Data Science & BI Engineering Lead rethinking BI and analytics for Eurofins. Define data-driven decision-making initiatives and lead a cross-functional tech team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Eurofins into a new era of data-driven decision-making by redefining the organization’s approach to Business Intelligence, advanced analytics, and AI
- Shape the long-term vision while guiding the transition from legacy systems to scalable, secure, and efficient platforms
- Foster a culture of innovation, curiosity, and continuous improvement
- Mentor and inspire a cross-functional team of BI engineers, data scientists, and platform specialists
- Design and optimize end-to-end pipelines
- Elevate structured data modeling and enterprise reporting into flexible, cloud-optimized solutions
- Operationalize AI and machine learning models through Azure AI Foundry, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and similar platforms
- Ensure scalability, observability, and security across the entire data ecosystem
- Define the e-commerce EDI and transactional integration strategy for Eurofins IT applications
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related discipline
- Over five years of experience across BI, data engineering, or data science
- Proven leadership responsibilities
- Deep knowledge of both legacy BI environments and modern AI/ML workflows
- Strong experience with Azure-based data architectures
- Comfort with semantic models, curated datasets, and high-performance dashboards
- Mastery of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and governance
- Familiarity with MLOps, model lifecycle management, and reproducibility
- Experience in regulated industries such as pharma or healthcare
- A solid understanding of data privacy, access control, and compliance
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, event-driven architectures, or Snowflake technologies
- Clear communication, ease in navigating international collaboration, and a genuine passion for innovation
