Job Description
Senior DevOps engineer building Azure, Terraform, and Databricks infrastructure. Supporting CI&T's enterprise AI transformation solutions through automation, governance, and reliable data platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Design, provision, version, and maintain Azure infrastructure for enterprise data platforms
- Automate Azure resource creation and maintenance through Terraform Infrastructure as Code
- Manage Data Lake environments, Databricks workspaces, pipelines, automations, and Terraform stacks
- Maintain and evolve Azure DevOps YAML CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and notebook/data-job deployments
- Provision Databricks workspaces and clusters and configure jobs/tasks through infrastructure or APIs
- Write and maintain Bash/Python scripts for automation, deployment, and observability/logging
- Collaborate with data, analytics, security, and architecture teams on compliance, governance, cost, and performance
- Apply Azure naming and tagging conventions, cost management, and multi-subscription governance
- Contribute to code reviews, enforce IaC best practices, improve documentation, and deliver reliable infrastructure solutions
- Strengthen data infrastructure foundations, internal standards, automation practices, governance, and delivery quality
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Azure, including Resource Groups, Storage, Networking, Key Vault, RBAC, Policies, and Private Endpoints
- Proficiency in Terraform, including modules, remote state management, workspaces, and deployment automation
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines, including YAML, tasks, variables, and gates
- Experience with Git, GitOps, and CI/CD practices for infrastructure code
- Ability to operate across multiple subscriptions while following naming, tagging, and cost management standards
- Advanced English skills for an international client
- Preferred: certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, or Terraform Associate
- Preferred: experience with Docker and Kubernetes/AKS
- Preferred: experience with secret rotation, Service Principals, Managed Identities, and Key Vaults in data environments
- Preferred: familiarity with DataOps practices, infrastructure-data integration, and automation of notebooks/data jobs
- Preferred: exposure to Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Azure Monitor
- Preferred: GitLab CI/CD, including multi-environment promotion
- Preferred: networking knowledge including NLB, DNS, security groups, and WAF
- Preferred: monitoring and observability experience with CloudWatch and Dynatrace
- Collaborative mindset across Data, Security, and Architecture teams
- Strong technical communication and documentation skills
- Automation-driven and governance-focused approach with attention to quality and standardization
- Product-oriented mindset focused on scalability and effectiveness
- Ability to design, code, and deliver end-to-end cloud solutions for data platforms
