Job Description
Senior Director providing strategic legal counsel on employment law issues across Asia for TaskUs. Managing litigation and providing guidance on human resources and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide business-oriented and practical counsel and guidance to human resources, operations, and other teams on various labor and employment laws
- Evaluate and provide tactical and strategic advice and manage pre-litigation, litigation, regulatory proceedings, and related matters
- Manage outside counsel on a variety of litigation and employment related matters
- Work with senior TaskUs management on expansion into international markets
- Advice and/or negotiate the resolution of employment related disputes and claims
- Monitor and manage the company's global employee hotline
- Draft, review and/or approve employment-related documents
- Develop and deliver training on relevant labor laws
- Support and lead investigation processes on various labor and fraud matters
- Serve as Legal representative on global projects
Requirements:
- Bar admission and in good standing to practice law in India or the Philippines
- 8+ years of experience in handling global employment law matters and litigation in an in-house legal department or with an elite law firm
- Exemplary written, oral, and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing a team, preferably across different geographies
- Excellent command of the English language in a written and verbal capacity
- Experience of managing and advising on a company’s employee hotline program is a plus
- Experience in working with BPOs, KPOs, BPM, IT/ITES companies is a plus
