Job Description
Senior Engineering Manager at Upstart focusing on user growth and engagement through intelligent offer generation and product recommendations. Leading engineering team to enhance product infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement an engineering roadmap that supports intelligent and personalized offer and product recommendations to our user base
- Work with cross functional partners including Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers, and Research Scientists to make this a highly impactful program
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team directly, focused on providing high quality solutions and incrementally enhance systems with each pull request.
- Leverage experimentation and data-driven insights to refine growth strategies, optimizing user engagement and conversion through continuous testing, iteration, and personalization.
- Create a best-in-class offer generation infrastructure that scales with our user base and all Upstart products.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in software development with a minimum of 3 years managing a team directly
- Experience leading product oriented teams with quantifiable user impact
- Ability to convey complex technical information to a variety of audiences
