Job Description
Senior Finance Analyst supporting forecasting, budgeting, and strategic analysis for Owens & Minor, a global healthcare solutions company. Partnering with leaders to improve supply-chain financial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance Manager with financial analysis for Supply Chain expenses within Products & Healthcare Services
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Sales/Commercial, Accounting, and business unit leaders
- Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecast cycles, annual budgeting, strategic long-range planning, and CapEx and strategic investment prioritization and tracking
- Prepare financial presentations, monthly and quarterly business reviews, performance scorecards, initiative trackers, profitability models, and analyses for senior management
- Assess and communicate historical and forecasted financial and operational performance trends
- Identify risks and opportunities, propose strategic initiatives, and quantify and forecast results
- Monitor key performance indicators across revenue, cost of sales, expenses, profitability, working capital, and capital expenditures
- Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and develop strategic analyses for business leadership
- Prepare analyses involving pricing models, scenario planning, financial and expense performance, rate of return, and performance optimization
- Work with Accounting to support an orderly financial close process and accurate financial statements
- Encourage new ideas, processes, and approaches and champion multidisciplinary problem solving and teamwork
- Standardize reporting across product categories and gather requirements from the Executive Leadership Team
- Perform additional duties as directed
Requirements:
- Four-year undergraduate degree required
- 2-5 years of related experience, including a position of similar scope and impact
- FP&A experience, including business partnership, highly preferred
- Healthcare distribution and/or manufacturing experience desirable
- Ability to travel, up to 25% of the time if remote
- Knowledge of financial business plans, processes, and systems
- Expert knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Hyperion Planning, Essbase, SAP, and Anaplan experience preferred
- Proven ability to assess needs, identify issues, recommend alternatives and implement change
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and implement complex financial projects
- Strong ability and experience managing and performing multiple concurrent tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial audiences
- Ability to plan and coordinate completion of tasks in a multi-deadline environment
- Ability to work independently
