Job Description
Senior Frontend Engineer developing user-facing features for Bjak's insurance portal in Southeast Asia. Collaborating with designers and backend engineers to optimize performance and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new user-facing features using modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.).
- Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX design wireframes into high-quality code.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and implement responsive design principles.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and standards compliance.
- Work closely with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our frontend development practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Frontend Software Engineer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of past projects.
- Proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.).
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques and tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Bonus Points:
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development.
- Knowledge of backend development technologies (Node.js, Python, etc.).
- Understanding of web security best practices.
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, etc.).
