Job Description

Senior/Lead Robotics Simulation Engineer building physics-based virtual test environments for consumer household robots. Integrating simulation with perception, planning, control, testing, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse existing simulation-based testing approaches and identify opportunities for further development
  • Design and implement physics-based virtual test environments for consumer robots
  • Develop and validate sensor simulation concepts
  • Create and maintain physically accurate virtual robot models
  • Integrate simulation environments with perception, planning, and control workflows
  • Provide technical guidance and engineering recommendations related to robotics simulation
  • Develop technical solutions for simulation-based regression testing
  • Define test scenarios, metrics, and acceptance criteria with relevant stakeholders
  • Integrate simulation workflows into CI/CD environments
  • Implement containerized simulation execution and automated scenario regression
  • Document technical concepts, solutions, and results
  • Coordinate closely with project stakeholders across an international development environment
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and work in 14-day sprints
  • Combine hands-on software engineering with technical consulting across simulation, perception, planning, control, and automated testing

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with robotics simulators such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or similar
  • Good knowledge of Python and/or C++
  • Practical experience with ROS 2 and robot modelling using URDF, SDF, or USD
  • Understanding of physics-based simulation and common robotic sensors
  • Experience with simulation testing and CI/CD integration
  • Very good command of English
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in consumer or mobile robotics, including navigation, SLAM, or obstacle avoidance
  • Knowledge of GPU-accelerated simulation or Isaac Lab
  • Understanding of embedded or edge-computing constraints
  • Experience working in international engineering teams
