Job Description
Sr. Oracle APEX & Modernization Architect at DLZP Group, modernizing legacy Oracle applications using AI techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize open-source, air-gapped large language models (LLMs) for secure processing.
- Train and fine-tune models using legacy application exports (Oracle Forms and Oracle Framework applications) to extract business rules, logic, and metadata.
- Implement an iterative training process to improve model accuracy from an initial 50-60% to 80-90%.
- Parse and clean legacy code (Oracle Forms, PL/SQL) to extract key business rules, triggers, procedures, and configurations.
- Deliver outputs in standardized formats (PL/SQL scripts, JSON boilerplates) for use in Oracle APEX.
- Rapidly generate APEX application boilerplates from extracted logic.
- Provide downloadable scripts for database object creation, reducing manual recoding efforts.
- Ensure all processing occurs within secure environments, with no proprietary data shared externally.
- Enforce best practices in code structure, documentation, and naming conventions.
- Review current best practices in APEX code structure, documentation, and naming conventions and update output to align to these standards where they are logical.
- Extend the AI-driven approach to other legacy modules or applications as needed, supporting future automation opportunities.
Requirements:
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Must have at least five years of experience with Oracle APEX development, and legacy system migration.
- Must have relevant experience in AI-driven modernization projects using legacy Oracle Forms OR Oracle Framework applications. This includes providing case studies or references from similar projects.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and U.S. based.
