Job Description

Senior Payments Analyst leading data-driven payment performance analytics for seamless payment experiences. Collaborating with Product, Finance, and Operations to drive business decisions based on payment data.

Responsibilities:

  • Own performance analytics across acquirers, PSPs, and issuers, cutting data by geography, device, card type, and behavioral attributes to uncover friction points and optimization opportunities
  • Diagnose authorization drop-offs and conversion issues across first attempts, retries, and dunning flows, no hand-holding needed
  • Design and evaluate payment experiments, including A/B and routing tests, quantifying their business impact in terms of revenue, cost, and risk
  • Monitor fraud rates and chargeback trends, balancing conversion and customer experience with safety and compliance
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Finance to bring data-backed insights into strategic initiatives and prioritization
  • Own and evolve payment data models and dashboards, setting the gold standard for accuracy, consistency, and interpretability
  • Advise on orchestration strategies, from routing logic to failover systems—ensuring our payment stack performs at its peak

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of hands-on analytics experience, ideally in payments, fraud, or conversion funnel optimization
  • Fluency in SQL and comfort working independently with high-volume transactional data
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
  • Experience with payment orchestration platforms and direct interaction with PSPs (e.g., Adyen, Stripe, Checkout.com, Worldpay)
  • A deep understanding of A/B testing, causal inference, and experimentation frameworks
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills, able to translate data into insight and insight into action
  • Confidence and clarity when presenting to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • A self-starting mindset and a track record of driving high-impact initiatives with minimal oversight
