Job Description

Senior Product Manager shaping Trane Technologies’ data center climate solutions portfolio. Leading product strategy, P&L, development, suppliers, commercialization, and profitable growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Support a strategic segment of the North America Datacenter business unit’s portfolio
  • Understand market trends, customer needs, portfolio gaps, and the competitive landscape to initiate new offerings
  • Define and adopt product strategy
  • Lead cross-functional internal and supplier teams
  • Manage product life cycles and multigenerational product plans
  • Lead new product development programs, commercialization, customer research, supplier relationships, and go-to-market strategy
  • Meet or exceed revenue growth targets, maintain or grow market share, and expand margin
  • Participate in the Datacenter Product Management team to expand Trane’s presence in the datacenter vertical
  • Support and co-lead sourced Product Growth Teams
  • Explore new technologies in the evolving datacenter ecosystem
  • Evaluate Make-versus-Buy decisions and M&A acquisition or partnership opportunities
  • Lead product line strategy, long-range plans, P&L, and annual operating plans
  • Manage tradeoffs between short- and long-term product line performance
  • Develop and execute channel strategy
  • Manage day-to-day needs of the product line and strategic suppliers
  • Develop and execute multigenerational product plans covering positioning, pricing, cost, margins, and customer value proposition
  • Align product line strategy with peer portfolio roadmaps and broader system, services, and contracting initiatives
  • Define customer Critical to Quality specifications for product lines and associated systems
  • Initiate and support business cases for new product development programs
  • Collaborate with product development teams to deliver projects on time, within CTQs, and on budget
  • Create and execute marketing and commercialization for new offerings and existing product enhancements

Requirements:

  • More than 5 years of product management or strategic marketing experience
  • P&L leadership experience required
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Technical bachelor's degree preferred
  • MBA highly desired
  • Experience in datacenters, the HVAC industry, and/or Lean preferred
  • Passion for understanding customers and how the domain can positively impact their business results
