Job Description

Senior Project Manager leading civil infrastructure projects and multidisciplinary teams at Apex, a consulting and engineering firm. Driving client growth, strategic planning, and western U.S. operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical staff on infrastructure projects from planning and design through bidding and construction
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, technical quality, and team workload
  • Strengthen and expand client relationships and workload through responsive, value-driven engineering solutions
  • Guide and mentor staff to cultivate a high-performing team culture focused on quality, accountability, and professional growth
  • Identify new business opportunities through networking, engagement, proposal preparation, and client presentations
  • Partner with division leadership on strategic planning, business development, and client relationship management throughout the western U.S.
  • Lead talent development, succession planning, and long-term organizational sustainability
  • Refine and implement the firm’s strategy and business growth plan
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Denver office to achieve corporate objectives and ensure profitability

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Nevada (or ability to obtain such a license)
  • 15+ years of civil engineering experience
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead multidisciplinary project teams
  • Project management experience including development of project proposals, scopes, budgets, and successful execution of engineering projects
  • Strong staff mentorship and performance management capabilities
  • Experience with strategic planning, client development, and operational oversight
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, and strong interpersonal skills
