Job Description
Senior QA Automation Engineer building Playwright/TypeScript coverage for a US telehealth platform. Integrating automated testing across healthcare workflows, APIs, integrations, and AWS CI/CD.
Responsibilities:
- Build automated UI, API, integration, and end-to-end coverage for critical healthcare and transactional workflows
- Integrate reliable automated test execution into GitHub-based CI/CD workflows
- Establish standards for test structure, data management, reporting, failure diagnosis, and flakiness control
- Analyze failures and work with the engineering team to improve product testability
- Convert high-value regression scenarios into maintainable automated coverage
- Review automation contributions and help existing QA engineers develop automation skills
- Define and report automation metrics, including reliability, execution time, critical-flow coverage, and manual-regression reduction
- Work closely with the QA Team Lead and engineering team to improve automation practices
- Architect the company's automation practice from the ground up
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in test automation using modern automation frameworks
- Strong commercial experience building and maintaining UI and API automation
- Production experience with Playwright and TypeScript
- Experience designing fixtures, reusable components, test data, environment configuration, reporting, and parallel execution
- Experience diagnosing unstable tests and improving suite stability and execution time
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD, preferably GitHub Actions
- Strong Git and pull-request workflow experience
- Ability to test REST/GraphQL APIs and complex third-party integrations
- Practical SQL/MySQL skills for verification and test-data preparation
- Ability to use AI coding tools for test implementation, debugging, refactoring, and test-data generation, while independently reviewing generated code
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher for daily technical communication and documentation
